Popular Posts Plugins: Comments VS Page Views?

Making use of a popular posts plugin is essential for any blog serious about attracting readers and getting more page view on relevant posts. Using such plugins is one thing but what is the best format to be using? Popular posts by comments or page views?

My two favourite plugins are the Ranged Popular Posts and WordPress Popular posts. Whilst the Ranged Popular Post plugin only offers the choice of displaying posts by comments. The WordPress version offers both, by comments or page views. Check them out if you’re not already using one.

I would like to hear your thoughts on the subject of comments VS page views, what does it best for your blog?
