HTC has made the announcement at the MWC 2011 that they will be launching two new handsets geared towards better use and accessibility to the social network giants Facebook. Yes, the two handsets currently tarnished as the HTC ChaCha and Salsa and are expected to make its grand debut at some stage during the second quarter and will host a new dedicated Facebook quick access button.
The phones better integration with Facebook and quick access key located on the chin of the handsets will give users more flexibility and power to share photo’s, links, news and update their status anywhere and anytime.
Taking Facebook intelligence to a new level, the phones will feature photo and video alerts, caller Facebook status display and a nifty feature that alerts you when the phone thinks that there is something interesting to be shared, which I think is pretty cool.
Just briefly, the HTC ChaCha will boast a hardware keyboard with 2.6 HVGA capacitive 480×320-pixel-resolution touch screen whist the HTC Salsa will host a 3.4 inch HVGA capacitive 480×320-pixel-resolution touch screen display, without the hardware keyboard.
Both phones will use a Android 2.4 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor, with other goodies such as a front and rear 5 megapixels camera, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS to name a few.
